PROUDLY SERVING WILMINGTON, DELAWARE

With a dedicated physician providing psychiatric care, we utilize the treatment modality of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS therapy) at Brandywine Valley TMS. As an outpatient procedure, TMS is performed under our doctor's direct supervision to ensure the comfort and safety of our patients. Our founder, Dr. Jack Castro, has been in practice in Wilmington Delaware since 2017, utilizing both medication and psychotherapy for the treatment of psychiatric conditions. However, Dr. Castro found that for a subset of patients, traditional methods were sometimes not fully effective or caused unwanted side effects. It is due to these findings that Brandywine Valley TMS was founded.

When it comes to depression treatment, TMS therapy can be an amazing alternative to medicine. Have questions? We can help!

IS THS THERAPY THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy is an FDA-approved treatment for a variety of conditions, including depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and smoking cessation. Additionally, TMS therapy has been shown to be beneficial for several other mental health disorders, including anxiety treatment. To evaluate the effectiveness of TMS therapy for depression, patients often utilize the PHQ-9 questionnaire. This self-assessment tool measures the severity of depression symptoms and tracks changes over time. the best part? Our assessments are completely anonymous.

In addition, our anxiety screening questionnaire (GAD-7) is a tool used to evaluate the intensity of common symptoms associated with anxiety.  It is not intended to diagnose or suggest the presence of an anxiety disorder but can be helpful. If you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, we strongly recommend scheduling an evaluation as soon as possible.
